Ride to the Flying Horse Bistro- Ballarat 20/8/17
The weather was chilly but perfect for riding, blue skies and plenty of sunshine.
12 of us left Waurn Ponds and travelled to Rokewood for smoko, via Ceries, Inverleigh and the Shellford twisties.
While at Rokewood we caught up with Pommy Ian & Pauleen, after chating with them for a few minutes it was back on the bikes and on to Cape Clear, Smythesdale and then to the Trotting Track (Flying Horse) Bistro for a warm lunch. The meals were of good value and delivered in a fast manner.
After lunch, we rode to Buninyong to refuel, and then it was up to a lap of Mt Buninyong with a stop to take in a view, from there it was eastward to Mt Egerton then to the Ballan Rd, which we didn't take but went to Meredith instead to have a toilet break.
We said goodbye to Jimbo and Bob B. at Meredith and then homewards via Steglitz and Maud, the ride finished just short of Hamilton Hwy and the Ring Road. All up about 340 klms of great roads.

Thanks Ron, it was a great ride. Really enjoyed going up to the top of Mount Bunninyong. I think that fact that we got there a bit early and they had the meals out fast was a real plus as well. Below are a few of my pics.
