Pleasant Sunday Ride - The Sandstone Café   1/10/17
The hardy 19 of us gathered at the Corio Roadhouse to welcome daylight savings in for another year. It was good to welcome some new riders and a couple of guests along for the ride. After explaining the Corner Marking System to the “newbies”, we hit the road in overcast and cool weather.

From Corio we travelled along the Anakie road for a while then turned off to go to Maud, from Maud it was across to Lethbridge, Teesdale and onto Inverleigh to meet Geoff and Don, who slept in. At Inverleigh we enjoyed the sights of an “On the Spot” breath test station set up (straight after we passed it) in front of the Bakehouse, also the coffee was nice.

After we sang Happy Birthday to Mal S. we mounted up again to travel the back roads towards Moriac, and onto the Anglesea Rd to Freshwater Creek and then into the back of Waurn Ponds where we regrouped before touring through the suburban streets until we arrived at  The Sandstone Café.

We only experienced a couple of very light showers during the ride, we had a good value meal for those that chose to eat at the café, and the company was very nice and enjoyable, what more could we ask for?

Cheers,

Gentle.
