Ten hearty Riders meet at MacDonalds Waurn Ponds in cloudy / sunshine weather for another wonderful mid-week ride led by our charismatic tour leader Peter Townsend.

All the back roads from Moriac to the Cobden fuel stop were enjoyed and both light and heavy showers were encountered  .. could hardly see the road sometimes with the heavy downpour which were fortunately very short.

Roads less travelled were enjoyed like Porneet Rd and locations never seen or heard of before were passed through by this jolly lot of intrepid two wheeled travellers .. will I take off the waterproofs or not was heard.

For lunch we stopped and enjoyed the tasty food at Camperdown - The Loaf & Lounge in the Main Street .. our choice of food ranged from Scallop to Free Range Beef Pies .. very nice. The best looking waitress was given the Kiss of Approval by one of our members in appreciation of her service .. shrieks of laughter were heard from the street ...  we are very welcome to come back again as they loved our business.

Not as many rain showers on the way home but one must show safety at all times in the spring weather experienced today  ..  the Ride finished at Inverleigh .. all members displayed safe and prudent riding skills throughout the day and we all look forward to another time with ride magician Peter Townsend again in the future.

Total Distance:  385 kilometres

Overall Ride Rating 10/10 :- the variety of corners & poor weather brought out great riding skills and playing in the puddles is always fun. The company was great and the hospitality at the lunch stop was appreciated by our members .. some will have to dry out this afternoon before our monthly meeting tonight.
