Bimbi Park / Cape Otway Overnighter

Excellent overnighter at Bimbi Park with the Ulysses Club. We travelled from Geelong to Forrest for MT. Apollo Bay was the venue for lunch then we headed to Maits Rest for a brief stop to check out the ancient trees. After a short ride along the Cape Otway Lighthouse Rd we arrived at Bimbi Park. Lauri and John had set up camp on Friday and Rob Ashmore arrived with his caravan an hour or so before the riders. Bimbi Park proved to be a great venue, with a pretty bush setting, excellent camp kitcken and a broad range of accomodation options. After a little detour up a dead end gravel track, we had a lovely run along the Great Ocean Road to Lavers Hill early-ish on Sunday morning, then turned off the GOR and headed to Gellibrand for brekky. From there we took a number of back roads to the ride finish at Moriac. We could not have asked for better weather. Thanks again to Gentle for organising an excellent weekend of riding and socialising.
